Research Manager / Research Director

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Healthcare Primary Market Research

The role will be centred around directing, delivering and conducting business development for primary market research (both qualitative and quantitative). Generating insights and recommendations from the data obtained will be key and working with other members of the 7i Group team to conduct research and present compelling insights to our clients.

Healthcare Desk Research

Working with other members of the team to access and interpret information from a variety of public domain and/or proprietary secondary data sources. Generating insights and recommendations from these data sources to present to clients.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE         

  • An interest in and desire to learn about the constantly evolving biopharmaceutical, medical devices and healthcare landscape
  • Substantial experience of leading/directing primary research projects in the healthcare and life sciences sector
  • Expertise in drawing out research insights and developing engaging, insight-based client presentations
  • Excellent work ethic and commitment to delivering high quality work
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good project management, time management and organisational skills
  • Exceptional IT skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong teamwork and self-motivation skills
  • Commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial approach
  • You must be able to demonstrate that you are eligible to work in the UK

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum BSc or equivalent, ideally in a life sciences subject.

Senior Researcher

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Healthcare Primary Market Research

The role will include elements of primary market research including quantitative online surveys and qualitative interviews, focus groups etc. Generating insights and recommendations from the data obtained and working with the Research Director to present findings to clients.

Healthcare Desk Research

Accessing and interpreting information from a variety of public domain and/or proprietary secondary data sources. Generating insights and recommendations from these data sources and working with the Research Director to present findings to clients.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE         

  • An interest in and desire to learn about the constantly evolving biopharmaceutical, medical devices and healthcare landscape
  • Substantial evidence of primary and/or desk research experience in the healthcare and life sciences sector
  • Excellent work ethic and commitment to delivering high quality work

WORK LOCATION AND HOURS

The usual place of work is Alderley Park, Alderley Edge, Cheshire SK10 4TG, UK.

Alderley Park, the UK’s largest bioscience campus, is in a stunning countryside location and provides an informal and friendly working environment with access to an on-site gym and restaurant. The 7i Group office overlooks the lake at Alderley Park with a view to the woods beyond.

7i Group supports a flexible working culture. Applications are also encouraged from candidates who are seeking part-time working hours; these applications are considered on a case by case basis. Requests to work from home are also considered. 

REMUNERATION

Roles attract a basic salary; a profit share bonus scheme and workplace pension scheme are also provided.

HOLIDAYS

25 days of paid leave is available in the first calendar year of employment in addition to bank holidays. This increases 1 day per calendar year up to a maximum of 28 days.
