We recently conducted a piece of self-funded research to understand the impact of COVID-19 on cancer care pathways.  Much has been reported about the negative impact of the pandemic on cancer treatment and the stressful impact this has had on cancer patients.  Whilst this is vitally important to understand and needs to be addressed, we wanted to explore whether there had been any positive innovation to come out of this situation and if there is any impetus to keep the best of these changes.  A short survey was conducted to gauge oncologists’ perceptions of any changes to cancer services during COVID-19 and to assess whether they felt these should be permanently included within future cancer care pathways.
